Estonians have been a people of nature and song since ancient times. One of our deepest and most significant heritages is the regilaul (traditional Estonian folk song) — songs from the mouths of our ancestors, carrying the power of creation, the meaning of existence, timeless knowledge of living, and the order of earth and sky. Regilaul is a teaching, a carrier of cultural code and our language, which activates our ancestral memory and connection to the creator.
On the evening of September 7 at 5:00 PM, we will gather in the ballroom of Kirna Manor to experience the combined power of regilaul and gong sounds. We will open the ancient heritage in the language of today’s consciousness, bringing the spirit world of the forest and the voice of Põhjala’s gongs. We will create a transcendent, deeply moving experience that helps us return to our roots and authentic essence.

♫ THE GONG is a sacred instrument with a powerful and all-encompassing sound. One of the oldest instruments in the world, it helps achieve a deep state of relaxation with its mystical and overtone-rich sound. Gongs are ancient sound tools whose deep vibrations affect the body and mind at a cellular level, helping to quiet thoughts, release tension, and open the path to inner balance. Combined with regilaul, a soundscape is born that touches both the visible and the invisible.
ANNA AND INDREK VAINU
We are singers, bearers of living tradition, and creators. We are nature — wild and free. We are guardians of the world tree, preserving life, authenticity, and timeless knowledge. We encourage and guide people to connect with their voice, with nature, to see and feel their true essence. Through stories, songs, and personal sharing, we describe ways to recognize the creator within, to create the world, and to bring a new world into being here. Anna creates world trees through song and ceramics.
Indrek is a hiking guide and storyteller who organizes expeditions, tells stories, and creates spaces. Together, we hold song and conversation circles, workshops, lectures, and give concerts. For seven years, we organized the Metsalaulupidu (Forest Song Festival) together. We live a timeless life in our home forest on the edge of Soomaa — among bogs, meadows, and rivers. We live in harmony with nature, knowing that everything we create and share is part of endless existence. Our songs and stories carry the beauty of this authentic being and invite you to be part of this sacred space.
ANDRES PÕHJALA – sound and hypnotherapist, addiction counselor
I work as a therapist and counselor in private practice at Andres Põhjala Teraapia. I came to this path from a personal need to heal both spiritually and physically.
My passion has become uncovering and learning to understand the true self of myself and others, so that we can realize our true potential and live a multifaceted, fulfilling life.
Our true essence is often hidden beneath layers of mistreatment and trauma. The ego’s defense mechanisms, once created for protection, eventually need to be opened and understood.
By becoming aware that we always have choices in every situation, we can keep our lives and well-being on course and be the captains of our own lives.
