Kirna Manor is known for hundreds of thousands of tulips, but we are often asked: “What happens here in the summer? Do the flower beds remain empty after the tulips?”

They don’t!

On Dahlia Days, we invite you to discover Kirna Manor from a whole new angle. Nearly 45 different dahlia varieties bloom in the manor park, and in addition, summer flowers and perennials in our backyard offer colorful floral beauty. This is the time when the garden is at its most lush.

We want to show that dahlias deserve a place in Estonian gardens once again. This dignified manor garden flower blooms abundantly until the autumn night frosts and fits perfectly in the same flower bed where tulips delighted the eye in spring. This way, a single bed can offer floral beauty for almost the entire season.

You can also have your say – throughout the weekend, a vote for the people’s favorite dahlia will take place, and the winner will be announced on Sunday evening.

On Saturday, August 15 at 14:00, a special floristry demonstration will take place, where top florist Marek Jakobi and master florist Tuuli Luik will showcase their skills.

Having freshly won a bronze medal at the World Florist Championship in Singapore, Marek Jakobi will create unique floral arrangements alongside master florist Tuuli Luik during Dahlia Days. Come see world-class floristry created right before your eyes.

Gardening expert Eneli Käger will share knowledge and practical advice throughout the day for everyone who wants to get to know dahlias better.

Lectures start on both days at 12:00 and 16:00 and last about an hour.

During Dahlia Days, you can also buy tulip bulbs freshly dug up from the flower beds of Kirna Manor. Our offer is simple: buy a bag for €10 and fill it up as much as you can fit!
These are freshly harvested bulbs straight from the bed that haven’t been cleaned or sorted yet. If you want a lot of tulips for your garden at a great price, this is a wonderful opportunity.

Enjoy a summer day at the manor
The manor park is open on both days from 10:00 to 20:00.
The Kirna Manor Café is also open, where you can enjoy delicious food, cakes, and summer drinks, taking your time to peacefully enjoy the floral beauty.

Admission
The dahlia exhibition and seminars are at no extra charge. The entire manor and park are open for visiting with the standard €8 day ticket.
