KLAUS WAGENER
Klaus Wagener’s journey into the world of floristry began at an early age. His parents ran two flower shops, and he grew up in a large garden next to a forest, an environment that greatly influenced him and inspired him to start floristry training and later obtain his master florist certification.
Over the years, he participated in numerous professional competitions, which served as a catalyst for his success. One of the highlights of his career was winning the World Floristry Championship in Detroit in 1985.
Wagener has continuously discovered new passions in his field – he has worked as a lecturer, seminar leader, examiner, trend consultant, teleflorist, and finally as an editor of floristry publications. In 1993, he co-founded BLOOMS’ magazine and a supporting agency.
Today, BLOOMS’ employs around 50 people and publishes magazines and books for both floristry professionals and enthusiasts, both nationally and internationally. Wagener has published several books, and his major achievements include winning the German championship “Golden Rose” and the Interflora World Cup. Additionally, he works as a trendsetter and consultant, constantly seeking new directions in floristry.
