💫 WHAT DOES THE FORGIVENESS CIRCLE LOOK LIKE – A LIBERATING JOURNEY WITH YOURSELF?
We all carry stories in our lives – those that have shaped us, molded us, and sometimes painfully affected us. The goal of the Forgiveness Circle is to open and release these stories that hold us back, to find the path to healing and peace. This process has its unique power, helping us heal both the pain of the past and the burdens of everyday life.
At the beginning of the process, we create a safe space and explain what forgiveness is and what it is not – often we have very mistaken ideas about forgiveness, but true forgiveness is a deeper and healing process that helps us free ourselves from our inner burden and is primarily a gift to ourselves.
The following practices help create a deeper connection with ourselves and others. These exercises take us further than usual and help us experience forgiveness on a body and soul level.
In the main process, we meet on an equal level in a circle – eye to eye, heart to heart. Forgiveness is not just about forgiving others, but about reclaiming our inner strength. Here you say: “Please forgive me!”
Forgiveness begins with oneself. We ask for forgiveness for keeping our hearts closed and letting the wounds of the past define us. We take responsibility for our lives and give ourselves grace.
Then we ask for forgiveness from all those we have blamed, whether they are people or situations that have painfully touched us. We acknowledge that all this is part of the great human experience.
Then we ask for forgiveness from everything that is sacred to us. We ask for forgiveness for our truths, values, and beliefs that have held us or led us astray.
The final moment is the most healing: we ask for forgiveness from ourselves. This moment brings deep peace of mind, as we are ready to forgive and love ourselves.
At the end of the process, we keep silence to integrate the entire journey. In the sharing circle, we share our experiences and listen to how this process has affected us.

🙋 FACILITATOR OF GONG MEDITATION: ANDRES PÕHJALA
Co-dependency counselor, sound and hypnotherapist. I work as a therapist and counselor in private practice at Andres Põhjala Therapy. I came to this profession purely through a personal need to heal mentally and physically.
My heart’s desire has become to open and learn about my true self and that of others, so that we can apply our true potential and live a joyful, multifaceted life.
However, our true self often hides under layers of mistreatment and trauma. The ego’s defense mechanisms, created to protect the true self, must be gradually opened.
Mistreatments have created the emotional Bermuda triangle of FEAR, SHAME, and GUILT, where we lose ourselves and all sense of direction. Therefore, in my work, I pay great attention to emotions, feelings, and self-awareness. I give you a fishing rod instead of a fish and with it the responsibility for your own well-being.
Understanding that we have different choices in every life situation, we can keep our lives and well-being on course and thus be the captains of our own lives.
I specialize in working with people suffering from co-dependency and addiction, as I have personal experience with these complex psychological conditions and coping with them. But I also accept people with other problem situations, guiding them through psychological twists and turns towards self-awareness and healing.
I continuously develop myself with contemporary psychotherapeutic approaches to provide better psychological and spiritual help to my clients and to grow as a person and therapist.
A field of therapy that I have recently been passionate about is sound therapy. Having struggled with anxiety all my life, I felt how easy it is to come into complete presence both by participating in a gong journey and by playing the gong myself. This is the key to healing. Just lie down and let things happen. In this elevated state, negative emotions cannot drag us along. The body’s energy reserves are restored. We reconnect with childlike joy. We see new possibilities. We are able to see our lives from the side. We have choices again.
I firmly believe that we always have a choice and change is possible.
🎶🟡 GONGS AND SOUND HEALING The gong is an ancient and awe-inspiring instrument with a powerful and all-encompassing sound. This sacred instrument, considered one of the oldest musical instruments in the world, is known for its mystical sound and rich overtones. On this journey, we are accompanied by 6 different gongs, a shamanic drum, and crystal singing bowls.
The vibration of the gongs quickly brings the body into a state where the body, mind, and emotions are in harmony. Immersing in the world of gong sounds, the worries and problems of everyday life dissipate, creating a pleasant moment of rest.
Gong sounds affect the brain, bringing it into alpha and theta wave states, which in turn support the growth of creativity and strengthen the immune system. Our thoughts, feelings, emotions, words, and actions are also vibrations that we emit. With the help of gong sounds, it is possible to organize, change, and balance these vibrations.
People who have participated in gong meditations and ceremonies often share feedback that they feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and full of inspiration after the session. They experience new solutions to problems, find answers to questions, and experience inner peace, joy, bliss, and bursts of creativity.

- Severe tinnitus or hearing impairments – Intensive sound therapy may irritate or worsen hearing problems.
- Psychiatric problems – Post-traumatic conditions or other mental health disorders may make sounds anxiety-provoking.
- Epilepsy – Rhythmic and strong sounds may trigger an epileptic seizure.
- Recently experienced trauma – Fresh traumatic experiences may increase the risk of emotional reactions.
- High-risk pregnancy – Although generally safe, caution should be exercised in high-risk pregnancies.
